Andalusia produces more than one million hectoliters of wine per year, of which at least 75% is covered by a quality mention, that is, it is protected by a Denomination of Origin (DO).
Designations of origin (DO) are localities or regions that officially guarantee the origin and quality of certain products, in this case, wines.
This region currently has some 30,000 hectares dedicated to vineyards for winemaking, which on average produce around 187,000 tons of grapes for winemaking.
Andalusia has 5 denominations of origin that have been pioneers in Spain and Europe, known as: Condado de Huelva, Jerez-Xérès-Sherry, Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Málaga and Montilla-Moriles.
These denominations were recognized by the wine statute of 1932, to which at least 16 more DOs have been added, covering a large percentage of the production of this land.
At Bodegas de Andalucía, we have a wide selection of Andalusian wines with different denominations of origin, because tastes are found in variety and at #BodegasdeAndalucia, we have various wines for you to enjoy the one you like best.
