Quadis Crianza

Quadis Crianza

€9.50

Quadis, the old name of Cádiz, gives its name to a red wine as Andalusian as the land where it was born. We thus honor one of the most important historical enclaves in a wine with the same name and greatness.

The Quadis range from Bodegas Barbadillo is made up of a couple of recently released wines: a Quadis Joven without aging, and this Quadis Crianza, more complex, aged 11 months in medium-use oak barrels, not new. Bodegas Barbadillo thus reinforces its position in the Cádiz Land Wines market, having been a pioneer in this regard with its Gibalbin brand.

Vineyards located in the Gibalbin area, with about 7.5 Ha. Night harvest and cold pre-fermentation maceration for three days. Subsequently fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control at 25ºC for about 7 days. Finally, the wine goes to French and American oak barrels for two or three uses for an aging of about 11 months.

Pairings: Roast meats, cured cheeses, Iberian.

Tasting note: Dark cherry red color, high robe. Intense nose, of ripe red fruit well integrated with the aging wood, spicy notes of vanilla, liquorice. On the palate it is soft, somewhat sweet, with rounded tannins, and long persistence.
