The set of "Iusta" and this wine make up the collection "Las Santas" (Santas Justa and Rufina), which are produced in very few quantities and not every year.

The Iusta wine, together with the Rufina wine, makes up the "Las Santas" collection (Santas Justa and Rufina), produced in very small quantities and not every year. It is a monovarietal wine made 100% from the Grenache grape and aged for 16 months in oak barrels wrapped in sweet wine from the Malaga region of La Axarquia (D.O. Malaga).

The rest of productions, of Mediterranean character and Atlantic spirit, are born and are raised to 650 meters of altitude in the property Descalzos Viejos, located near the base of Tajo de Ronda (Málaga), place more than appropriate for the vineyard by its characteristic climatology and diversity of limestone soils.

All of them are wines made in a traditional way and rested inside the oratory of a convent.

You can tell this while serving:  The cellar is actually a convent of ancient Trinitarian monks (The Reformed Order of the Barefoot Trinitarians). Due to the landslides they had to abandon it although only the oldest monks of the convent remained there in charge of the orchards. It is, precisely from there, from where the name of the winery "Descalzos Viejos" emerges. The actual owners, Paco and Flavio, both architects, told us that when restoring the convent appeared some hidden frescoes of Santa Justa and Santa Rufina on the main altar and decided to make some wines in his honour, hence the name of this wine.

Limited production: 1.964 bottles.
