Mercure 2013

Manual night harvest. Grain-to-grain selection. It is made by a cold pre-maceration of the grape at 12 degrees for 24 hours, and a subsequent maceration in stainless steel tank with all prior to a fermentation with selected yeasts in stainless steel tank at controlled temperature. It is produced exclusively in excellent vintages.

A new project with which this winery bets for a very special wine guard that is called to become a great wine world, not only for its quality and presentation, but also for its exclusivity, as barely more than 2500 bottles will be sold, half of which are already reserved.

The new production of these wineries protected under the D.O Sierras de Málaga has, in addition to the addition that its raw material comes from the oldest Petit Verdot plantation in Spain, located on the estate owned by Prince Alberto de Hohenlohe, which was managed with the advice of the Marquis of Griñón.

To a raw material of the highest quality and exclusivity is added a strict selection in field, with a subsequent selection in table by cluster and ending with a selection berry to berry. The result is a dense, deep and elegant wine, according to the commercial director of the winery, Alberto Hernando de Luís. "Mercure stands out for a very high layer, difficult to find in any wine on the market, and this is a large wine world, which will only be in the hands of a few," he explained.

Its exterior image perfectly accompanies the product of the interior, perfectly reflecting that we are looking at a collector wine: Italian glass bottle of 1.8 Kg of empty weight, which ensures the greatest possible protection for its interior; a flower cork supplied by the Portuguesa Amorin (the world’s largest producer of cork) that guarantees the maximum time in optimal conditions of the wine and its perfect evolution, all wrapped in a silk paper, closed with an anti forgery guarantee seal and covered by an elegant canister, lined with the label’s innovative textile paper, all designed by renowned designer Hugo Zapata.

With all this Mercure is born to be an investment wine, a jewel that will only be in the hands of a lucky few who at some point will be able to enjoy it. From Bodega Doña Felisa, its owner and current president of the Denomination of Origin, José María Losantos assures that it is a jewel that will improve in bottle, "will go more", possibly in 3 years will be at its best.
