Vino Tinto Primogénito 2018

Primogenito Red Wine comes from the El Pujío farm, “Los Encinares” hill at 350 m altitude, the syrah vines are planted with a north-south orientation, so that leaves and fruits receive sunlight from morning to night . Soil surface with a loamy-clay composition and rocky subsoil that give the grapes from “Los Encinares” complexity and a certain minerality. This Syrah is, therefore, a special wine that shows a different character from this variety.

The Primogenito Red Wine has a selection of clusters in the vineyard, and of grains in the selection table. Manual harvest first thing in the morning in boxes of 15 kg. Subsequently, it has a period of alcoholic fermentation, keeping a careful control of the temperature and pump-overs. After malolactic fermentation, it spends 6 months in French and American oak barrels playing with different toasts and coopers. It remains in reductive aging for 6 months minimum for its refinement and roundness, before going on the market.

Smell
Its elegant bouquet reveals the great complexity of aromas that the wine presents, surprising the nose. Its characteristic aromas of the variety combine perfectly with the contribution of the aging in the form of vanilla, tobacco, cocoa, and interesting intertwined floral nuances. with hints of black pepper and liquorice, providing the whole set of an original aromatic complexity, capable of enthusing the most demanding nose.
Palate
Its passage through the palate is a faithful reflection of what is experienced on the nose. The intensity of the fruit, together with the sweet tannins, make it a pleasant, elegant, harmonious wine with a persistent aftertaste.

Ideal to accompany with cheeses and pâté, small game, suckling pig, suckling pig and stews.
