Finca Moncloa Red Wine
Finca Moncloa is a barrel-aged red wine made in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia, by the winery of the same name, Finca Moncloa. Belonging to the González Byass group, this winery represents a commitment to recovering the tradition of great Andalusian wines. Located in an area known by locals as "the land of the Arcos vineyards", the estate is on the road that connects Arcos de la Frontera with San José del Valle, one kilometer from the Guadalcacín Reservoir.
Grapes and production:
This Andalusian red wine is made with a coupage of red grapes, with the following composition: 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Syrah, 18% Tintilla de Rota and 2% Petit Verdot. Tintilla de Rota, a native variety in recovery, gives the wine a unique complexity. The estate's clayey soil and the temperate climate with moderate rainfall contribute to the unique character of the grape. After the manual harvest, the grapes are carefully selected and fermented in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature. The wine is then aged for 12 months in new and second-use American and French oak barrels.
Characteristics:
Finca Moncloa is characterised by its intense cherry red colour. On the nose, it has complex aromas of ripe red and black fruits, spices, floral notes and balsamic touches, with a toasted background provided by the barrel ageing. On the palate, it is an elegant, balanced wine with good structure. Its tannins are soft and mature, with a well-integrated acidity and a slightly sweet entry. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a pleasant memory.
Pairing:
Due to its structure, this wine is perfect to accompany a wide variety of dishes, from cold meats, poultry and cured meats, to spicy meals with powerful sauces, stews, red meats, game, lamb and grilled meats.

In addition, since December 2014, the winery has been part of the prestigious Grandes Pagos de España association, which brings together single-vineyard wines with unmistakable personality.
