The Overo wine is a red wine whose name comes from the estate where the vineyards are located. Its geographical location places it in a unique enclave, on a hill in front of the Guadalquivir marshes and without geographical accidents with the sea, receiving the saline breeze from the Atlantic that impregnates all the vineyards with its iodine.

Félix González (son and the bodega's sales manager) told me that the vinification process, the process of transforming the grape juice into wine, was the most complicated part of the first phases of the project, "it was essential that it was the right one".

The Tempranillo and Syrah grape varieties were chosen and the vines planted, "and in 2006 we managed to make the first red wine, with three months in oak", "we had no idea about making red wines", says Félix, "and that's why we had to hire a French oenologist who was with us until we made the 2008 crianza".

Great gold medal in the international wine and spirit competition CINVE 2015 for Overo Crianza 2013.

Tell this when serving it: although mythology attributes the foundation of this city to the god Bacchus, it was the Phoenicians around the 7th century BC who, as the first colonisers, introduced the culture of wine into the Iberian Peninsula.
