Félix González (son and the bodega's sales manager) told me that the vinification process, the process of transforming the grape juice into wine, was the most complicated part of the first phases of the project, "it was essential that it was the right one".
The Tempranillo and Syrah grape varieties were chosen and the vines planted, "and in 2006 we managed to make the first red wine, with three months in oak", "we had no idea about making red wines", says Félix, "and that's why we had to hire a French oenologist who was with us until we made the 2008 crianza".

Lebrija's wines are under the protection of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Vinos de Calidad de Lebrija.
