Barbazul Tinto is a red wine from Cádiz province. To be exact, it comes from a vineyard in Arcos de La Frontera between the Sierra de Grazalema and the Pantano de Bornos. This is an area with a special microclimate of hot days and cool nights which help to maintain the acidity in the grapes and provide a slow ripening.
Barbazul Tinto is a wine from Cádiz, specifically from Arcos de La Frontera. The climate of its land, with hot days and cool nights, help to enhance the acidity of the grape and also leads to its slow ripening.
This wine has its own personality, with its mineral notes, spice and red fruits. It is a revelation in the glass of red fruits, spices and mineral notes that come together to give this wine its own personality. He is the younger brother of the well-known Taberner red wine (also available from us).
This wine is unique, as it uses four different grape varieties: Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tintilla de Rota. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 6 months giving it aromas of cherry and syrup.
When we have the wine in our mouth, we notice that it is fresh with a balanced acidity as well as a taste that reminds us of the freshness of the fruit. In the glass it will evoke the essence of the Sierra de Cádiz. The freshness also reminds of of the nearby sea and salt pans.
