Botani Garnacha is a red wine that has a period of aging of six months in French oak barrels and has the distinction of being the first monovarietal of Garnacha grapes from the D.O. Sierras de Málaga, a land whose main variety is the Muscatel of Alejandría grape, used to make sweet wines.
Belonging to Jorge Ordoñez & Co, winery located in the "Axarquia Malagueña", for the first harvest of this monovarietal have used vines of an average of 25 years old and under the premises of organic viticulture, vineyards located in Ronda about 700 meters of altitude.
The harvest is made in mid-September, completely by hand and the grapes are carefully cared for moving them in boxes of 10 to 15 kilograms to avoid any type of deterioration.
The Peñin guide awarded 91 points in 2015.
Tell this when serving: The attractive label represents a bunch of bougainvillea, typical flowers of Malaga, and in whose design Victoria Ordoñez, sister of Jorge, has been very involved.
