Served at the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute of New York's 2013 Gold Medal Gala awarded to stateswoman Hillary Clinton and Spanish actor Antonio Banderas.

The Peñín Guide awarded 96 points to this wine from the area of Velez Malaga (Axarquía) belonging to the vineyard El Salto Negro and El Barranco, a vineyard with no terrace with inclinations up to 70% and an altitude of between 765and 929 yards. The viticulture that is implied here is characterized by its heroism by the manual tillage with hoe in an extremely difficult terrain. It is based on the traditional dry growing viticulture (Dry Farmed), plantation in glass. The cultivation is manual, organic, with minimal human intervention. Most of the vineyards are untreated. The compost is natural, coming from the sheep hut of the region.

The planting year is from 1918-1930 of the Muscatel variety of Alexandria. The clone is believed to have been brought by the Navigational Phoenicians more than 3,000 years ago. The climate is Mediterranean, with temperatures in summer of 86° Fahrenheit and in winter of 46° Fahrenheit with water shortage (704 pints / year).

The harvest is practiced with mules (taking into account the inclinations of the ground are of 70%) in the time of September, in boxes of 22 pounds. The fermentation is made in stainless steel tanks with wild yeast, to pass to the natural drying with the warm sea breeze and to bottle with natural clarification in tank.

You can tell this while serving:  Victoria Nº2 is the only Spanish wine that has been present at the Nobel Prize celebration banquet, on December 10, 2012, at the Blue Hall of the Stockholm City Hall. The Gala Dinner brought together 1,300 guests.

It was also served at the 2013 Golden Medal Gala of the Spanish Reina Sofía Institute of New York awarded to statesman like Hillary Clinton and the Spanish actor Antonio Banderas.
