Lunares Tinto is a red wine, made from Garnacha (50%) Syrah (45%) and Tintilla de Rota (5%) grapes. The grapes come from the Sierra de Ronda (Malaga). The grapes are cold macerated for 5 days. Afterwards it is aged for 6 months in 500L French oak barrels. The grapes with which it is made come from a farm located at 1,093 yards altitude in the Sierra de Ronda at the bottom of the Roman ruins of Acinipo, and another at 1, 968 foots of altitude, thus contributing to the grape oscillations Thermal as well as the salinity that confers the proximity to both the Atlantic and the Mediterranean.
The duration of the grape in the strain is prolonged more than usual to achieve a good maturation of the tannin but without loss of freshness or excessive alcoholic degree in the wine. Once in storage it was macerated in cold for 5 days until the alcoholic fermentation started naturally. It has been aged for 6 months in French oak barrels of 880 pints.
