Young Delirium: A Fresh and Floral Andalusian Red Wine

Delirio Joven is a red wine exceptional made by Bodegas Muñana, located in the heart of Andalusia, Spain. This wine from Granada is a single-varietal Syrah, which gives it a fresh and floral character. The Syrah grapes come from vineyards located in the Sierra Nevada Plateau, at an altitude of between 900 and 1,100 meters above sea level.

The Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence and the slaty and granite soils provide the ideal conditions for this variety, which stands out for its robust body and its intense aromas of black fruits, spices and violets. Delirio Joven is not aged in barrels, allowing it to preserve all the freshness and the fruit of the grapes.

It is a young and vibrant wine, with an intense currant red color and purple edges. On the nose, it offers a wide spectrum of aromas, from red fruits such as raspberry and black currant, to spices such as black pepper and cloves, through violet flowers strong> and red licorice. In the mouth, it is a tasty and powerful wine, with good structure and a long and persistent finish.

For the family name Delirio, the winery considered numerous names before choosing among the three finalists: "symphony ", "madness" and "delirium". Once they tasted the result, they discovered that it was so different, surprising, friendly, expressive and fresh that they were clear that "drinking it was a Delirium."

The fun labels emerged from a contest with the Granada School of Art. They were looking for something that connected with the public and the contestants proposed creating a trilogy of wines with collectible labels. This is how "the young people" of Bodegas Muñana were born: Delirio Joven, Delirio Rosado and Delirio Roble. Delirio Joven represents "La Diva", being a fun, sexy and bold wine.
