Centennial Tradition

At the end of the 19th century most of the vines were uprooted because of the phylloxera. The town of Setenil is therefore linked to its name “De las Bodegas”. The winemaking tradition of the city dates back to the Phoenicians, although in Roman times, it was the time when there was more wine in the area.

Daniel Camacho, was the one who gave his father the idea to start a new project to make a quality wine in Setenil. Daniel, has enough enthusiasm to carry out the 5000 vines, with the help of Santiago Jordi from Jerez, another well-prepared young man, Agronomist and Winemaker, who chairs the Spanish Federation of Winemakers and vice-president of the International Union of Winemakers.
