List of products by brand Cortijo de Jara

Jara is a farmhouse, typical Andalusian agricultural construction. This farmhouse evokes the abundance of Roman villas in the countryside of Jerez, because here was found a rich marble sculpture of a lady, covered with tunic and cloak. In the second half of the thirteenth century, the Xara donadio is among the large properties granted to the term by Alfonso X.

Andalusian tradition

A winery with history, inside the barns and warehouses have been used, while respecting the original structure, an unbeatable mix of tradition and modernity.

Difficult beginnings

In the 70s and 80s of the last century, in Jerez there was an industry, derived from agriculture, creating employment and wealth. The liberalization of markets left a large part of agricultural production in the hands of multinationals and the agricultural policy of the European Union became uncertain. Something had to be done. We had to take risks to get out of the circle imposed by globalization, which takes our products at a low price. 15 years ago, we decided to plant a few hectares of the vineyard, plant olive trees and the farmhouse house, which was practically abandoned, is recovered and converted into a beautiful winery. The entrance gate opens onto a large patio, an architecture from the middle of the last century, with the walls covered in bougainvillea, jasmine and virgin vines. From the beginning, the search for quality has been our main objective, giving up short-term benefits to achieve a new and competitive project.

Jerez wine, the most characteristic of Andalusia, you can try them at Bodegas Andalucia.
