A wine from Bodegas Marcelino Serrano, a family winery managed partly by oenologist Blanca Maria Serrano (who has a Bachelor in Oenology and Technical Engineer of Agroalimentary Industries) and her father Marcelino Serrano. The winery is in the town of Alcalá La Real and is part of to the Protected Geographical Indication of Sierra Sur de Jaén.
Blanca María Fermentado en Barrica is a white wine made from Chardonnay grapes selected from the “Entretorres" estate. This wine from Jaén is fermented in stainless steel tanks and later in new French oak barrels. Once the fermentation is finished, these barrels are sealed, leaving the wine with its fine lees for 4 months.
This wine is tasty, dry with touches of vanilla and lemon. Its very good acidity makes it balanced. It has a golden colour with hints of lemon.
The wine is named after Marcelino Serrano's daughter, Blanca María, who is also the winery's oenologist.
