Un Canasta Cream, or simply Un Canasta, is one of the most heard phrases in many of the Spanish bars. One of the best-selling Sherry wines in the world, the Canasta Cream by Williams & Humbert is a fortified wine that is already almost emblematic. Perfect mid-morning or mid-afternoon aperitif, but one of those cold autumn or winter mornings or afternoons. A classic.
Elaboration: Yolk musts. Controlled fermentation. Fortification at 19.5º, wise mixture of Palomino, Pedro Ximénez table tops to enter the criaderas and solera system for their aging and physical-chemical aging by oxidation in oak casks, minimum average age of six years, as a result, this unique odorous sweet, or "cream", which the British call it.
Tasting note: Sweet fragrant wine of mahogany color with aromas of dried fruits, walnuts, and a slight hint of raisins and toasted sugar. On the palate it is soft, velvety, very warm due to its alcoholic content, persistent aftertaste.
Consumption preference: It can be consumed alone, as an accompaniment to desserts at any time, very cold, or with ice as a refreshing drink.
