Botani Moscatel was chosen in 2016 by Robert Parker as one of the three best wines of the world with best value for money, an award shared with two Californian wines, being the first Malaga wine and one of the few Spanish wines to achieve this recognition. Robert Parker also considers it as the best perfumed white wine in the world with 91 points in his prestigious guide.
Botani Moscatel Seco is a white wine made from the Moscatel de Alejandría grape. This wine is a wine from Malaga, enriched by its lands.
Botani's original authentic craftsman was the Austrian Alois Kracher, considered one of the leading masters in the production of sweet wines in Austria. One of the peculiarities of this wine is that being a monovarietal Muscat of Alexandria grape, a grape famous for its use in the production of sweet wines, it is made as a dry white wine, obtaining an extraordinary and intense aromatic spectrum.
Grapes from vineyards with more than one hundred years of history and on slopes with more than 70% of inclination make their value even more remarkable, since they are collected manually and transported by mules due to the steep slopes, as was traditionally done .
Botani offers a typically varietal nose (muscat) but at some point doubts: gewurztraminer ?, Alsatian Riesling?. A delicate fragrance wrapped in soft sweetness. Seduce. And also in the mouth: a slight sensation of bitterness, grapefruit, insinuates, does not materialize but it brings body and nerve to this delicious Muscat, a white with a very long persistence. Surprised.
It is perfect for pairing with fish, seafood, molluscs, cold soups like ajoblanco. Also with ceviche, sushi, risottos, black truffle dishes, Thai food and other spicy dishes.
The boat of the label is the logo of the winery, and symbolizes the export power by sea of Malaga wines. As a curiosity, the label is impermeable so that it can hold in the ice bucket as long as necessary
